Our school-age summer day camp is a working parent's solution to child care and summer fun for their elementary-aged children!
Children who have graduated kindergarten and are ages 6 to 11 are welcome in our program that features lots of fun, hands-on learning and summer memories. We feature lots of field trips to places such as Skate Plaza, Sunset Bowling Center, parks, the city beach, the movie theater, the water splash pad, Puttin' Around miniature golf, Museum of North Idaho, the tennis park, bouncy house/obstacle course, and the North Idaho Fair! We also have special speakers come in, like presentations from Idaho Fish & Game, sign language class, Spanish class, and Bible stories. All activities and field trips are included in our weekly rates.
We are open Monday through Friday from 6 am to 6 pm. You only pay for weeks that you attend, and you can choose between 3, 4, or 5 days a week based on your needs.
We provide USDA breakfast and snack, but you provide the lunch. We'll provide milk at lunch. Fridays is Pizza Day; we have pizza brought in, and add fruit, dessert and milk. The cost is $2.
Literacy is encouraged through a silent reading time each day as well as enjoying a chapter book being read to the school-agers. We do lots of art and science experiments, cooking and baking, crazy camp songs, and physical activity with outdoor action games and free play outdoors on the playground. Children earn "Panther bucks" to spend at the camp store, encouraging learning about saving and spending wisely (as well as working for your money!) And they LOVE camp store!!
The school-agers also enjoy lots of free play time during the day inside our big room, including Legos, Barbies, Littlest Pet Shop, board games, foosball, pool, & air hockey tables, arts & crafts, and much more!
Our staff for the school-age, "Panthers" program are all adult teachers with early childhood backgrounds and training. We are a small, Christian-based, close-knit summer camp that provides a fun and educational place for your child to spend their summer out of school. It's good old fashioned summer fun!
